š¼Hello lovely people!
āļøItās our weekly Monday post about whatās going on in the lives of volunteers and Bergolo. Throughout this week we created a cozy space in our office, expressed ourselves in Lolas creative writing workshop and got to discover more about our new volunteer.
And today, you can meet him too.
"Ahoi, Iām Janis. Iām coming from a way colder, way flatter and generally speaking, calmer part of Europe - Latvia. Therefore, Bergolo is a flip-side from what Iām used to, and Iām surprised how the world can change after a two-hour flight.
If I'd be an insect, I would be a caterpillar. Since I continuously manage to transform myself. As these little creatures, I to draw the energy from the outside environment, before becoming a butterfly. Throughout my life, I have exposed myself to uncomfortable experiences with an idea to learn from them. In the past years, I have actively involved in youth work, working with young folks and learning about art. All my life I felt drawn to art and agreed to whenever I got the chance to express myself. In my country people are prone to steer away from uncertainty, but for a caterpillar like myself, it is an opportunity to turn myself into a butterfly. And being in Bergolo for a week, I can already feel the creative energy around the city. Above all things, Iām not sure how the year will turn out, but at the end of it, I know I wonāt be the same caterpillar anymore."
