Hello hello dear readers!
This has been a really intense week, full of beautiful moments, new discoveries and a lot lot of art everywhere!
šØ We started the week with Lola and Fahed going to Genova with our amazing major Mario. They went to take the pieces of art from Emanuele Luzzati šØāšØ to prepare the exposition in Bergolo that will remain until September! For Lola it was a powerful moment of the ESC because they went to a few theaters, and only stepping on the stage brought her so much inspiration and happiness that she received a lot of energy to think about her future and what she wants to do. Dear Lola, the world is waiting for you! āØ
Once the pieces of art arrived to Bergolo, together with the artist Gianpaolo we prepared the exposition in the little chapel on top of the hill āŖļø. It was really inspiring to take part of it, to feel the pieces on our hands and to contribute on the decoration. We also put a HUGE canvas on the theatre and a whale for the opening of the music festival that happened this Saturday in "Il teatro della pietra". As a present of gratitude Gianpaolo gave us each of us a bottle of wine for helping him with the work, thank you!
Meanwhile, Fahed has been making the last tasks for the preparation of Enjoy Eat!, the youth exchange that is gonna happen this July from the 11th until the 23rd in Bergolo. We divided the tasks that we are gonna take care of and it feels really exciting to welcome new people in Bergolo!
Lola found a beautiful cat šāā¬ in the theatre, she brought him to home and feed her and Janis and Vicky took some big ticks out of him. Now he is another member of Bergolo and sometimes he comes back to say us hello and receive a bit of love.
On Friday night we went to Cortemilia to a Mexican š® dinner together with other volunteers from Monesiglio. There we meet some new Italians, eat, drank and danced in the central square.
On Saturday we went to Canelli together with our neighbors Stefano and Lele. First we visited the vineyards "Orme Sulla Court - Parco Artistico Nel Vigneto"š. We could see amazing landscapes and on the path there was the pieces of art of Emanuele Luzzati representing the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. After it, we went to the wine cellar "Cantine Bosca", an Underground Cathedrals from 1831 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014. We closed the guided visit with a wine testing š·.
We came back to Bergolo and in the afternoon we got prepared for the opening of the concerts with "Mille papaveri rossi" with four artists from the chorus "Teatro Regio di Torino". But after that, Fabri, Yesoo and Vicky presented the project "Bergolo Digitale"š, a magical moment in which an idea became officially true. And to close the concert we went to the new bar in Bergolo! Yes, a NEW bar called "Parole perdute" where we ate some focaccia and enjoyed of the views.
Sunday was a more relaxing day. Janis and Vicky went to see the exposition in Bergolo and they found a huge lunch in the theatre. The association Pro Loco Bergolo made a paella š„ and a band was playing really good music. It was full of people and good energy!
